The self breeding crawfish is a good option... Have you tried rainforest pets off 518 and 45. They usually have ghost shrimp in stock. Other than that you could order frozen clams from Drsfostersmith.com make sure you feed them something hard to keep their teeth trimmed before you have to trim them yourself

You could try Superworms for your puffers! They move when dropped in the water so your Puffers might take to them.
I usually order about 1000 of these and they last me a good while. Here's the site that I order them from: http://www.georgiacrickets.com/ It's 20 bucks for 1000 superworms..

If they like the crayfish then start you a tank of self breeding ones that need no mate.

If the snails you need are assessable, even in small numbers, then all you need to do is set up a small or medium size tank for them. They will breed prolifically if food is there, and maybe even better if other inhabitants are in the tank that will not eat them or their eggs. Some I believe have them in their shrimp tanks.

Any, but smaller the better. I can get some for a small snail tank.Originally posted by waterdog View PostI promise, I will look into it and get back with you. Do you have assess to a little aragonite. It shouldn't take much. Which kind of snails do your puffers prefer?

The stores I've been to say they don't have any for sale. Every store ive been to is having issues keeping them alive it seems like. Bunch of dead snails sitting on bottom or floating in the tank.Originally posted by waterdog View PostIf you can get a little aragonite for the substrate of a 2 1/2 gal or so and put a few ramshorn in it they will breed good if you give them a few flakes. If I had ever or knew anything about shipping I could send you some, wish I could get rid of my snails. They get in the canisters and breed like crasy. You know I don't think I've seen a fish store without snails in their fishtanks.
If you decide you want to ship, let me know

They aren't fond of freeze dried krill. Been trying for months.Originally posted by Chris360 View PostGo to Fish Gallery, they sell these little plastic containers with freeze dried krill for cheap. With those puffers it should last you a good while
And fish gallery is too far away for a weekly trip. I live in Dickinson, which is basically almost Galveston. Can't wait to move back towards Pearland in a few months, buy stuck here for now.

I'm bad with scientific names, but one is a large F8 and the other a small orange saddle fugu. They are my girlfriends prized possessions. Super picky with frozen foods, and like I said as of late it is getting hard to find them live foods. We've had them for around a year. I was hoping somebody local had some crunchy foods for them but I may just end up ordering some online.

First off..... what kind of puffer is it?? I have a Fahaka and a Mbu, I feed them frozen table shrimp daily, but also I give them clams on a half shell, mystery snails, frozen krill (Petsmart) and here over the last week I've got my Mbu to start eating Hikari Massivore Pellets
