Shrimp and Snails- Updated 2/7/13

Hey tim... I have received a total of about 6 of the assassin snails some from you and some from the geeks a while back. I believe some have reproduced although I only seem to notice little ones appearing and I have more large ones than I used to have. TOnight... there was nothing beneath them...and 4 of the adults were all bunched together. Were they attempting to make more little snails? I only know there was nothing beneath them because..well, I had to look. Ideas? And yes, this is a planted tank.

What is the difference between the two?
Also, the mollies I have in the tank with my yellow rabbits have ick. Any treatment safe for them?
Still have any regular ole red shrimp..nothing fancy?
I am also interested in some yellow shrimp... 6 or so... as well as 3 horned nerites.
Is there anything in particular you are looking for as far as ANYTHING goes as a trade? Wii games? Cross pen/pencil set/ single diamond stud/ small rechargable screwdriver new in package/ blue monkey face snuggie?

The main difference that I see is the shell size/coloration. The skin looks the same. Willing to accept trades on anubias or kordon breather bags.

I have a few cherries that I can get rid of.

I'd remove the mollies, treat them in a separate tank, raise the temp that the shrimp are in for a week, then, after everything clears up, go back to how things were. I'm no expert on treatment though... you may want to post in the disease forum.

How's your BKK doing? Is it producing any offspring blue bolts red wine bkk? Do you know or remember your water specs? Ph, temp, gh, kh and also do you measure tds or ec?

hey.. what substrate do you use?! pool sand filter?! or something else?

I use PFS in almost all of my Sulawesi tanks. I only use inert substrates for sulawesi species. Of course that doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with using an aragonite substrate, I just choose not to.
