As if we didn't have enough to be concerned about, now we got a machine that could possibly produce Black Holes....that's just great.....sounds kind of like pandora's box to me.
i'm not really sure that anyone should own this machine....it's very scary the war of the worlds kinda thing.....
you got one but we're going to build one bigger....neener neener neener......
me thinks thoust have too much time and money .....and a tad of ego thrown in there as well......
Isn't that the machine they used in that Stephen King movie, "The Mist"? The one that let all the critters in from another dimension?
They said they're trying to recreate the Big Bang. 8O Didn't that event really mess things up before they settled back down to coalesce into galaxies and such?

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.
I'm going to step out and say that I don't have a problem with it.
Big Bang is just a theory. Hence, the term "Big Bang Theory". Scientists are trying to prove that theory using this machine. Right now all we have are theories about what exactly happened when the universe was created. You can argue that all we need to know is that God created it, but this can potentially tell us 'how'. I have no doubt that if it does work, and we do get any answers, we will also have a ton of new questions. Personally, I think that is exciting!
Also, one misconception about the Big Bang Theory is that it was an explosion. It was actually an expansion, and it's still happening now. Galaxies appear to be moving away from us (Hubble's Law).
And what happened to all the people who got excited about learning new things?? We have to look into areas never viewed before to make new discoveries. Can you imagine what we wouldn't have if everyone had been against the research that brought us lasers? No CDs, DVDs, fiber-optics, or laser printers...no bar codes making time spent at the grocery store much faster...not to mention tons of medical procedures.
My point is that one discovery always leads to another. Prior to the Laser, there was a Maser (similar to laser, yet no visible light AND it was invented for space research...hmmm).
I'm excited to see where this new research will take us.
