I've seen firsthand how the buy and sell posts get ugly quick, so that makes total sense. It sucks that it had to come to that, but at least the site is still up and running. Hard to believe there was a time when trophs were rare considering how much they've taken over the market now lol I've been trying to figure out what happened by looking through old posts, but had no luck. Much appreciated man

And also it has to do with Tropheus. back in the early and mid 2000s the tropheus hype was really high. Prices were high, and not many people actually had them. Now everyone has them and most can successfully keep and breed them. There's not much to be excited about or to brag on. People just keep their fish and stay to themselves.

That's not it. There was a lot that took place on the site prior to now. There were new rules, people were banned, and people lost interest. There is a wealth of knowledge within the archives of this site. I have been a member for several years and I've seen the heights of it and it was mostly because of drama (me included). On the sale threads there was a time when we could reply directly to the threads and then it started to get ugly. People were buying fish and reselling for profits, people were giving lowball offers on things, and there were always fights. The mods and owner decided to attempt to prevent this by issuing bans, (temporary and permanent), and by not allowing people to reply to the sale threads.

It has slowed in the past couple of years. But I got a job. And my place in Matagorda. I just don't post as much.

You're still pretty active though Troy, relatively at least. I'm starting to think it may just be a race to Dagon, then people become apathetic since there's no other goal to obtain

That was a sweet build, came out really nice. It got some nice attention on the cichlid club. I'm gonna use your algae trick someday soon
