I have eaten octopus as well....it is good both as sashimi and cooked! I tried bugs when the museum had the bug exhibit...the wife totally freaked out! And I tried Huitlacoche in Mexico. It is a nasty looking black fungus that grows on corn on the cob, but was actually quite delicious!
