I may have shared this before....

I grew up in Montana and got my drivers license in 1971..... In Montana at that time, you had unlimited speed limit.... You could go 150 if your car had guts... Mine was only a chevy belair and could get up to 120 with not too much effort.

Between where I lived and a town up North called Whitefish there was about 15 miles of state road - simple two land road. Hilly up and down ..... I remember one time goosing that car up to 120 - Passing the High Way Patrol and he just waved and smiled.

In 1977 or 78, The federal govt asked the state to slow down... State said uh uh... Why do you want us to post speed limit now? Well I guess it was too many people dying.. But But But

It was not the Montana guys that were dying,,,,, it was everyone else who came to the state to experience the thrill of high speeds....

Now here is where it gets kinda screwy and stupid.

Most of you have heard about the Rocky Mountains, Cascade mountains and so forth.... The western Montana mountains along with Glacier is pretty high up to about 12,000 feet... curvy as all get out... much more than some of them cowboy cheerleaders.... Now the people outside of Montana like to take those curves at around 80 miles per hour..........

Its amazing how a car can fly when it misses a hairpin turn...... its also amazing how long the car can stay in the air at that speed. Quite fascinating to see the resulting explosion down below and half the forest burned up.

But what really frosted us in Montana is the stupid people of the world needed to leave the world........ I mean com'on now, if your going to look at a rattlesnake shaking away..... and try to touch it.. YOU deserve to die...

    and so it goes....

    Bill

nothing died....she thought she unplugged the coffee machine. i can't complain too much b/c she was taking care of my fish while i was gone. otherwise its kind of an unspoken rule.

Yes, fortunately the thermal mass of all the tanks buffered the temp drop.
When I found them the tanks were still in the low 70's
(thats the advantage of having the entire fish room heated)

started a topic No cure for stupid

    No cure for stupid

So last night was cold, maybe the coldest night of the year.
My son was working in the garage and got cold so the took the space heater out of my fish room to heat the garage and then left it there when he went to bed...........

maybe I should hook up a fence charger to the fishroom door knob.
Working...
