They closed, but Charles has some plans for when the economy gets better.

From the look of the store, the Fish Ranch in Rosenberg can have its push pin pulled. There was no real evidence that it was ever there. I dunno if it moved or closed down, but the bldg on the corner of Avenue H (the main drag) and 3rd street is empty.
Did they just move ??

Fish Ranch is still there on Almeda. The owner's name is Andy. He and Mike (the owner of Fish Ranch on Larkwood) are brothers.

I will have to see if that one is still there.Close to my folks. They are in Sagemont.Wow I liked J&H, always found a few deals there to take back home with us when we visit.Yes neptunes was a nice store just high and not much selection in my eyes.So is there any good stores in Houston well worth checking out while I am there?I have always noticed that your prices are better than in Dallas stores.Even your feeder goldfish were less than half what we have to pay.

It's been a few years, but there was a nice little LFS in the strip center on the southeast corner of Scarsdale & Beamer.

I thought Neptunes was one of the best maintained LFS I've ever seen, but their prices were high. They changed ownership a couple of times and move a few blocks east on Fuqua - hense new name.Originally posted by donkey View PostThat sucks.Well neptunes was crappy anyway from what I remember but the other one is that the one with the asian owners across from the mall that had the big giant gourami(not for sale) or is that the one over by the walmart?
J&H was a couple of blocks west of the mall, w/ asian owners and the Giant Albino Gourami. (almost as big as mine)
