I keep a colony in a bare bottom 20g species tank with java moss on the bottom and Wysteria floating on the surface with the roots hanging down. They spawn in the Java Moss and sometmes on the wysteria roots. I leave the eggs in the tank to hatch.
The dominant male is aggressive towards other males
I have used both a sponge filter and a HOB. They like moving water but not turbulant flow.
They do well in the hard lace w:st="on">Houston lace> water (200 dh) with temperature in the high 70s and a wide range of pH
