    Description:
    One of the more common Geophagus types, The Jurupari is an Olive green Geophagus with brown random stripes down their noses. They originate in South America and are known for their notorious eating habits of sifting through sand for food. They are not the easiest fish to keep however they are not difficult. Proper Aquarium maintenance and a well balanced diet will lead to a happy Geophagus.
