Thanks I just let the stuff grow then trim when to tall and shove the trimmings into the gravel and throw the rest away.

LOL thanks. I don't consider it a planted tank. It is more of a gravel and rock tank with some palnts lol. No co2 or aqua soil. Just some plants...
