We usually host a GHAC meeting once a year and always have folks over. I'll be missing the meeting this month so definitely need a smaller hang out with fish folks. I think we will be having some other folks on here over this time in so I'll hit you up and see if your free. Trying to motivate myself to upgrade my tangs to a 75... still just sitting in the garage, lol

I am actually planning on doing that with the discus I'm going to get. What do you use to control the water flow? I probably will set it up like that sooner for future inhabitants.

Tie a knot. Tighter knot = less flow

Rummy's are very picky about parameters, they can be quite finicky in hard water. Once in soft water they pop and explode in color. Some of the bleeding hearts and serape are far more forgiving. Diamonds are truly gems once they get up in size and fill out, they can get fairly sizable and look amazing in a shoal. Glad to have another tetra fanatic onboard!

Thank you for the tip! I believe my water is soft? I used %100 RO when I flooded the tank. On w/c which I done only twice, I do %75 RO %25 aged prime tab water. 3dkh and ph 6.6 is where its been at so far.

The diamond tetra looks amazing You might have just changed my mind! :) where can I find some at?! I don't believe every seeing those in the LFS? Then again, I probably wasn't paying attention lol.

get an airline tubing, a bucket(or a mini cooler like me) and do drip acclimation method if you're really worried about them. I have not lost a fish ever since I started doing this =)). Just let the water drip into the bucket/cooler with your new fish in there go somewhere for 2-3 hours then come back and scoop the fish into your tank. If you give them enough time to get used to your water, they'll be fine.

Furcata rainbowfish are pretty hardy in my experience.
