no don't remove it. it looks good that way. turn off your light and use 2 nets, you can also lower your water line to give them less space to run

Use two nets. Not big ones, but medium sized ones or small ones. I wouldn't cut off that branch. It looks nice.

So the little rainbow with the distended tube did not make it. Just got out the shower and I see it floating.
On another note, what do ya think if I removed the circle piece in the pic below?

I would but it was a pain because it was a tight fit and a few branches broke as it was going in. Yea, never thought about it until now.Originally posted by suicune View Posttry remove the branches first. XD this is one of the reason why I keep my decor and driftwood low in my tank... and have a really open space for fish to swim and for me to catch them when needed.

Not everybody is a member at sams club. Almost everything is way cheaper there. For us non members, Wal Mart is a good place to go. There's another thread with a ton of places to get Epsom salt at.Originally posted by Geral View Postgo to sams club way cheaper , thats where I used to buy mine

Most aquatic stores carry only aquarium salt, which is NaCl. Best bet is Target or Walmart.

I don't believe Epsom salt is sold in aquatic stores? Epsom salt anywhere will be the same. As long the bag says Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO4) only.Originally posted by wesleh View PostDoes the epsom salt needed to be aquatic based or is the epsom salt at walmart and etc. safe?

I would do a water change first and then add the Epsom salt. Just add after every water change until you feel that you don't need to anymore. I usually do 1 tablespoon per 5gal. You could do 1/2 a tablespoon per 5gal. Either is fine.
