Fyi females won't color up to their full potential unless the ph is very low (6 and under). Higher ph tends to wash out their colors

That's great!!! Ich is common usually come with your fish but they may infect area in there mouth and stuff so you may not notice until they become widespread. But once ich is gone they cannot come back unless you introduce a new fish with ich

I believe it's gone. I haven't seen any white spots recently. The temp been at 87-88 for about a week. I lowered it down slowly to 82-84 today for the gouramis. Hope it does not come back!

Here's an update! Finally have most of everything I want in place, now to wait patiently and watch everything grow! The java moss carpet took me about 6hrs to attach to the Ss mesh! Saved much money by doing so though. I also added 2 dozen cherry shrimp and 3 samurai gourami! Samurai gourami was added today! Samurai didn't come out and eat, but I think that's because the rummy noses feed like crazy. Another reason to remove them :/ then again I'm sure they are still acclimating to the tank as I see them sometime swimming out but hiding mainly.

Yeah but the thing is... That thing works better with powder. The ferts are granules. It'll work with the granules, but you'll get less ferts in the capsule and it won't be as full. A lot of the other people selling these root tabs use that thing. It's much faster, but I'd rather hand fill so you guys get more out of it. Sure I could make more money, but I'd rather have quality over quantity.

That's fine. I was supposed to order the capsules a while back, but I haven't had the chance to. I just ordered it though. I have to hand fill them and close them. Very time consuming, but I should have a couple hundred by the time the plants get in.

When I switch my carbon out with purigen, does it act as bio? Or do I need to keep some ceramic bio rings or something?

The 100ml purigen actually comes in it's own bag. Anything else needs to be put in pantyhose or in a bag that's fine enough to hold it in. Otherwise, it'll get all over the place.
