yay shrimplets,
First batch finally here, I spotted 3 or so that I could see, at 2 days old they already have really good coloration.

expecting a lot more soon, I have almost every female berried.

Shots taken with a canon 100mm macro lens f/2.8. I also learned taking photos of newborn shrimplets is NOT easy, especially with no tripod, new found respect for those who can take some good macro's of shrimplets.

I must say that the shrimp look tons better in your tank than in my breeders, LOL!
Nice setup!

Yeah, it was UG, I have UG in it now too, just starting to get established and spread. It should look like that again in a few months.

Ill probably try to keep it somewhat trim, I used to have a similar set up years ago, and let it get real jungly.Originally posted by LooksLater View PostNiiice. I love the hills-and-valleys thing you've got going there. And the tree looks good, I can see it getting really shaggy when it grows in, but it is making me want to do a tree more than ever! Do you plan on trimming it, or just letting it grow as it will?
Previous incarnation of this tank:
I have a mini external canister with ehiem media, 2 dual sponge filters, and a HOB with purigen.Originally posted by fishman1 View Posttank also looks very nice what's your filtration?

once the fissidens grow out then you can trim it into a star shape

An experiment lol, there is a bunch of fissidens sandwiched in between 2 star shaped plastic meshes, and I have 3 of those, hopefully they will look like a bushy star shape of fissidens in a few months.Originally posted by Totenkampf View Postwhat are those little floaty star thingies on the top of the water, emmersed planters or something?
