@ myjohnson, Not really sure what's going on in the ponds. Over the years I have been breeding a lot of different shrimp and had hem all in show tanks. The ones that always are stunning are the CRS and CBS. Of course ppl like to try all kind of new shrimp, and that's a good thing. To me not so much so a lot of the different kind of shrimp ended up in my 120 gallon aqua-scape tank. From there on once in the 6 months I clean my bio-filter under the tank and there were about 100 to 200 shrimp in there, all kinds, Amanos, cherrys, yellows, orange, blue's, tigers, snowballs, sakura's. They all ended up in my stock ponds, just because didn't want them go to waste. Been doing this for years. And yes I knew the Amano's and Cherry's were breeding in the ponds for a long time. Once a while I will see a yellow or Blue but last night I think it was blue night saw tons of them. So I guess if any body cares for some nice blues in a few weeks after I collect them I'll let you guys know.Leave a comment:

Surprise in my stock ponds!!
Well, ppl who know me as the CRS breeder and came to my house to buy some, some of them saw my ponds too.
I got breeding in my ponds Koi and Amano and Cherry's, yes Amano and Cherry red shrimp. No surprise there I have them for years in there. Sometimes I found a blue one in there, just one or two and that's it. But tonight when I was nosing around to see how my Select koi are doing I noticed a bunch of blue shrimp 50......maybe 100 of them. I trapped three of them and put them in one of my spare breeding tanks. Did put the trapp back in the pond and we'll see tomorrow. Will take some pics of them tomorrow when the lights come on from the tank.
