I thought Kribs were African. Even back when I did stare at the Woolworth fish tanks. Ironically the Woolworth tanks were stainless and glass also.
Sears had fish and supplies back in the 70's.

Most tanks were equipped with a stainless steel strip light with incandescent bulbs. These were replaced much later with plastic tops with flourescent bulbs.

With the Metaframe heaters that often leaked, I was shocked often but I escaped electrocution.

When I lived in St. Louis, it was common to put kissing gouramis in small outdoor pools in he summer. You would end up with monsters by the end of the summer.

I have a pink kisser.her name is toots.got her from a friend a year ago.was around 3".put her with some uaru I was growing out.she's 7" now.broke up with the uaru.now lives with a 6" jack Dempsey and and some synos.watching this fish eat it doesn't look like she getting much food,but is growing like a weed!i want more.i m thinking about getting a box.50 7" pink kissers.yup

I remember the diehard breeders would have old refrigerator liners that were used as livebearer farms. One neighbor had six.

I also had an outside filter with a magnet that caused water flow (for a short while until it would get stuck).

Anybody remember the hang on back power filters with the 110 volt motor? The motor sat in the clear plastic basket supported by 2 rubberized blue supports. Was it aquamaster brand? Yes, most of that list applies to me!
