Well, I didn't get what I thought I was getting. Both species turned out to be gastromyzon. One type looks like G. scitulus and the other I'm not sure. It has subtle lines in stead of spots. They look healthy and quick. This morning they were nomming on some algae wafers... huge sigh of relief!

    pics to follow

Tonight I go to pick up my hillstream loaches. I'm getting two species; Sewellia lineolata and a gastromyzon species, not sure which until I see them.

I also went to the health food store and bought chlorella and spirulina. Then I went to Ken's fish and ordered 8oz of Repashy meat pie and 8oz of repashy Soilent green. I plan to mix freshly blanched spinach, skinned peas and kale with the above-mentioned ingredients in the food processor and put into mini ice cube trays. Once the gelatin sets, I'll freeze and thaw as needed. This food will be the staple for the hillstreams and eventual stiphodons.

After I get the hillstreams settled in QT I'll add some pics to this thread.

I have four 3' NO fluorescent on it running 16 hrs a day. Total of six t - 8 lamps, 6500K and 8000K. The algae is growing, but I have so many plants in the tank that they're taking up lots of nutrients. I'm really hammerin' the KNO3 and KCl.

Thanks for the input and comments, y'all. You've given me some ideas. I have two canisters on it now; Eheim 2217s. I'm not married to the manifold. I may be able to get rid of it and the other powerheads and go with a couple mp40s. I'll price some chillers, too. Thanks a bunch, guys!

Would you get the flow out of big sump pump? Just making the return a floor sweeper. using an overflow over the top and the can.filters just like they are. with the pump out of the water it would drop temp. ...

    The Tank looks fantastic Mark...
