I use one of those point and click infrared temp gauges so i can get a reading on tank, sump, and anything I want to.

Btw are you checking temps of the water? Going by the dial on the heater not a good idea

My Mbu Puffer got ich when I moved him over into a bigger tank. I have the stuff I used at home but its a bottle with blue drops, worked great. I can't remember the name :(

Yup, got to get temps around 85 - 86 for ich to release themselves off the fish.

Yeah, your inline's set to 86 right now to speed up the life cycle of the darn parasites. I've increased aeration too.

How are you going about treatment? I've successfully used some meds and raised the temp before (to 86 degrees I think) and had it under control in a week.

There was already 1 tbsp salt per 10 gallons in the tank. Raised temp to 86. Now awaiting the opening of various LFS's to find out if they have Kordon's organic Ich Attack. If I find it, I'll open up the canister to remove the Purigen first and then dose the tank this morning and again tonight. Lights are off.

Any other ideas that wouldn't entail daily large water changes? My schedule definitely won't permit that til next week. :(
