Copper mess with the fish or shrimp?

You would probably never be able to keep inverts if you dose copper.... but then again you would never have an invert problem if you dosed copper.... hmmmm..

Not at all. It'll kill the snails and any other invertebrates like shrimp.

Sure is. Seriously, take out that assassinMTS and dose the tank with Copper Safe. Do it now! Otherwise you'll see about 400 million snails like him in the next 20 minutes or so.

Sounds like a good plan, moving things over slowly will help your bacteria build up.

I added the magic juice last night before bed and this morning put in 2 25w 6500k bulbs with 9 new plants so a total of 10 now. I have kept the endless in my breeder net over night in my tank so the ram wouldn't have a snack at night but the gourami tried to just into the breeder I heard him splash last night then he was trying to eat through the net. We are out for lunch now but will move the endlers today and look at 3 or so zebras every other day til all moved.

Agreed. The nitrate can be taken care of with a big WC, but I'd let the mulm and the plants do their thing for a couple days and you should see your nitrite/nitrate numbers improving from here out. Maybe put the guppies in the 10 for now, they are cast iron fish for the most part and it'll keep them out of the way?

Should have dumped the nasty water in last night.

Y'all should be moving along either way though and it's just a matter of time from here.
