I can probably pick out males, but not the difference between subdom males and females. It's still best to get a handful of fry, then weed out the extra males later. I'll buy back extra males down the line if need be. About half of them are just over 1" now, the rest are still under.

Oooh... google image looks nice, and from the looks of it they are consistent looking. Not as stunning or flashy as the the other but def nice!
The problem most all of us face... soo many nice fish, not enough money/space/time to have them all.

I'd like to get my hands on a nice group of Pundamilia blue Bar hippo points. Just a matter of making an order to Dave and having tank space - in due time!

I agree!
I come back from a long hiatus and it seems tanganyikans have become the bread and butter of houston.

They're real similar. All the same color, but the amount of each color changes a little. Some have more yellow in their body with wider stripes. Some show more red on their top... more black on their bottom etc etc. Personally, at least with these guys since I dont know their exact origin... also living in houston where people don't even look at Vics, I'm just happy with a badass looking fish that 400 people don't have in a 20mile radius!

I see... I didn't know that about them. Are there noticeable differences between collection points like you see with Tanganyikans?

Yeah, now that I can do - I'll get some more video tomorrow. I may need to take away his flower pot though, he's getting too attached to the thing

after parting with my dslr and losing patience with trying with the point and shoot I now take mostly videos.
It works out better than having to look at blurry pictures. LoL!
