Thats why I offered to draw him up something. Oh and on the people build houses with 2x4s show me a straight wall in a modern home . Lol just saying

Man have built many great wonders through out the years with what we consider obsolete tools. I'm sure fnb and j henry builds quality stands but at what cost? I think the op was headed in the diy direction to offset cost. Op the key is take your time do your research and double check measurements before cutting. Make sure it is leveled! Btw people who construct homes use 2x4s.

Becuase this is the DIY thread. I say git you father-in-law to help. It may not look as nice but if you are happy with it. thats what counts...

I dont build with 2x4s my designs are imperative that you have a table saw and a out feed thelat can handle large sheets

What plan u have my father in law does woodwork he built me one for a 90. But I just bought a 210 n have never done a stand that big hes planning on going with 2 x 4 and cover with 3/4 plywood

Also , check with John over at FBN Woodworks . They are in the Retailers section on this forum . Go to the FBN Woodworking site and you will see some sweet stands .
