Good idea! I have one of those filters laying around from a 10gal kit, that I'm not using you can have, PM me if you're interested.

I have a sand stone behind the pump, but I'm going to buy one of those tetra internal filters and stick it right in that space to get rid of the detritus better and cause more surface agitation.

I put the sandstone in 3 spots. 2 under the eggcrate where the media is at and 1 in the corner behind my return pump.
