Sunny, retest the nitrate levels. I fine this is the hardest one to test for.

So any thoughts on why my liquid kit would read zero nitrates twice? Too old perhaps? It's about a year old.

I use them just for quick reference to see if I need to bust out the master kit. Plus you can put your "meds" in there

Got some Tetra EasyStrips and they tested around 40 - 60 ppm for nitrates. So I'm guessing the liquid test kit I have lost its mojo?
Gonna test again Monday when I do my usual water change to see how much more nitrates go up.Last edited by SunnyHouTX; 06-08-2012, 12:06 PM.

My API test kit is the same reagent for both FW and SW, only difference is the color card.
