really nice! i had 32 dubs, all over 4"tl and 6 wc males at ~6"tl, with 12 bemba flames in a 75g with an fx5, 2217, 2xk4's, and a proclear 125 wtdry running a mag7. they breed and shook constantly.
when i had to downgrade them- i put them all in a 40g 3ft tank. anything is possible- waterchanges, meds on hand (more then you could ever need is the amount to shoot for - monster filtration - usually a combo - and good high quality food! thats all they need! trophs arent as hard as some say. its all about the prep work. your group looks incredible!

Here is my second biggest male- he's alpha the hot pink spots are coming out. My wife today said your tank is looking little small. She may come around after all. I think she's reconsidering since I brought in all the Nanotanks into my office.
I am gonna let her keep feeding them. 😈

I took out half the rock last week for more swiming space. I thought I had 15 left but I'm now counting 17.

Hopefully she comes around on them. Once she sees that nice red, she'll melt like butter. I'm not surprised with the growth, Josiah is bringing in some high quality fish. My bishops from him grew from .5" to 2.5+" in less than 6 monthsLeave a comment:

I'm pretty shocked at the growth rate. I have a few that are still under an inch. They were all the same size when I got them. The largest is just under 2 inches. Not kidding. I just got these end of December. Tropheus I've had in the past put on about 1/2 inch in 3-6 months, with a pretty hefty feeding regime. These guys probably have more algae in the tank to graze and I've got freshwater amphipods in the tank ( that's only last 2 1/2 weeks). The bigger ones are starting to show a color pattern change. I'm letting my wife feed them some times (hoping she'll get attached to them). That's how she got attached to my F. rostratus colony ( I'm the one who got bored with them).Leave a comment:
