Actually Pro-clear 150 with like an equivalent to a mag5 along with the two Aqueon 500 powerheads.

Mollies eat all the surface film and mulm in the sump
Mollies have babies which the return pump shoots out for the Trophs/Petros

Like a self sufficient dual display!

Mollies like goldfish need to graze continuously in order to get proper nutriton. They are not finiky about food either. So they will eat the slugde and surface film that a wetdry will naturally create on its surface and base. Very nice idea. I think I'm going to use them in mine aswell.

EXACTLY! Their mouth is upturned so they are always cleaning up the surface.

The little specs of molly fry aren't that big compared to their own fry so I'm not worried at all, I've seen/fed trophs a lot worst with no ill effect. Plus the little guys were eating smashed NLS so that would be like a gut loaded treat!

And if you're starting to have water chemistry issues, sometimes the sump fish will show signs of stress before your expensive lovely tank fish do... which can be a very good thing.
