Downfall of stuffing the tank - breeding is greatly hindered although still possible.

It was beast! 5g bucket about thirds full... only airpump running it but got a lot of water changes. Think there might be an old thread somewhere with the details.

jeeze only Q would manage to breed Trophs in a 30, I think you just like seeing stuff breed. Like when you got all those guppies, or a pair of convicts just because, u remember that?

I do like seeing things work where others say it would not! I have mollies breeding or having babies in the sump of this tank! )

The convict breeding in a bucket thing was really all shietsandgiggles though. LoL!

It flows just as much as a 2262. I like the way you think man.

If it has QD's you could just get the opposing side to hook to your drain and it'll instant siphon once you open them back up.

That'll work too! use the drain from the 2262 which is a beast and it'll flood your house in no time! Idunno what the FX5 uses though.

Very true. I need to go to HD and get some 1" PVC hose. I bet getting the siphon going is a chore. A 2L coke bottle won't work like how Kiko does. Maybe something bigger like an inner tube...

It wasn't too bad when you had mag12s laying around... a nice pair of lungs will get it going too as long as the hose is lower than the water level.

Yeah it is but when I had all the 6fters I would do 90-100% wc twice weekly and it wasn't that much of a hassle either. 1" tubing drains a 6ft tank and mere minutes.
