Those are some great looking Moba's!The sand looks great too.I wanted to change my substrate in my 140g when we moved,but didn't have time to.Nice tank!

There are so many systems that will work. There are also many things to consider before making a decison about what tyrpe of filtration you need. IMO you need to consider the load the tank is going to have on it. Again IMO as far as Bio filtration the correct wet/dry system is by far the best way to go. Obviously it will not do what the cainsters fo for mechanical filtering. Thats why I always run large W/D and FX 5s.

IMO, a canister such as an fx5 or 2262 and a wet/dry would be the way to go on a 125. Again just my opinion...

That's been the eventual plan nightster. :) First will be the addition of circ pumps, then the switch of one of the AC 110s to a canister, then the wet/dry. Thanks for the advice!

Dave was right, i had two Koralia 1050 in my 125g frontosa tank, the fish were always at the middle back of the tank, and were a little stressful. I took the two powerheads out and replaced by two air pumps ( for surface movement-oxygen exchange). Now, all the fish swim around the tank and feel better. i feel like they eat more than before-because they swim more-maybe??
my frontosa are slow eater, take them like 10mins to eat all the food i feed them. after that, my 3 brittle-nose plecos will come out and clean up the rest. i feed them 3 times a day.

Nah. Probably an AC110 + canister, and Koralia 1050 or 1200.

ok a 2217 or a 2262 and the pumps...

I like my two koralia 1400 in my 125. I run them all the time for the trophs and it keeps the crud in suspension for the filters to grab.

+1 I have an MP40 on one end and a 1050 & a 750 on the other, not to mention my filters too. My substrate stays clean...
