I think i'm gonna pick up some black beauty sand for my tank.Originally posted by newb View Postnext time Im over there we can take a look at at least of them...I could guess for now and then do it again later on and see how accurate I was.

Geez, these fish take forever to mature. Guess I'll have to wait. I'd rather be positive than guess. Thanks for the advice everyone.Originally posted by Zulaab View PostYou can take a guess at 1.5 yrs old.. you are going to have to wait until they are 36 months as they mature around 36-40 months of age.

at what size are fronts good to vent? If they are big enough...I could give it a try. it was pretty obvious with my petros.

try this link:
I netted a male, looked at its sex organ and any other front that looked the same was a male. Any front that looked different (and had a larger bottom hole) was a female.

Tell Randell to do it for you. If he can vent tropheus then fronts should be simple.

Dude, thank you so much for this link. I had no idea this site existed. The info was very useful, I think my eyes must suck because I cant vent my fish to save my life. I am now a member of the new site (dont worry, its not like I'm cheating on the Box...)Originally posted by armthehomeless View PostI have no expeirence venting frontosa, but I thought this website explained it pretty well.
