    I know, I plan n getting a 2215 or 2217 for it.
    I will run the canister under the 29g stand which is adjacent to this tank.
    And I run the hoses to the tank from there.

    You'll need more filtration, the Smartfilters are good filters, but not enough for a 20L. When the Birchardi breed they'll probably kill everything else in the tank, just a heads up.
