i work partime, and my mom usually feeds them when im at school or work, she loves them.

i am working on gettin autofeeders, the ehiem ones.

i feed ~60 pellets per feeding, and 2x pinches of flakes per feeding.

the wc's are really helping them grow.

i will get some pics of the callochromis and occie tank soon.

    its undergoing alittle remodeling.

im taking the holey rock out of that tank and adding moss rock.

    once don i will post.
i think i read something before, says that soaking pellets is not good for them..
and look forward of your pics.

personally i just dont like holey rock...
and my set up was basically a little copy of ek's ilangi tank..
expect his looks a lot better..
and by the way, can you post some pics of your 20.
really interesting to see the your Callochromis and Occellatus combination.

i got 20 fry from him about 2 months ago, they were like spit size when i got them, they avg ~1.25"tl now, the biggest is almost 1.5"tl.

they are eating 8 times a day, nls 4x and hbh veggie flake 4x
    2x 80% wc weekly.

i also have 2x dubs, with many more coming tommarrow:)
yep...i think he got 2 females holding when last time i went, so i think i will add some more when he got new frys.
8 times a day...u stay home all day or u use auto feeders?
and 80% water change biweekly, i think u really want them to grow fast..
did you get some of his new born frys too? which nls are you on? and i guess you just feed them a little each time? when you are feeding them 8 times a day..
mine grow pretty fast too, two grow larger than others, and i think are dominating now..
but they are not ready for 1mm yet, so they are on thera a .5mm now..
whenever they are big enough, i will switch to 1mm mixed with some dainichi veggie. maybe i will feed some osi and hbh flakes too..

    you are right..canon 100mm f2.8 macro.
the body is 450d...580ex II flash with bouncer...
before when i dont have the flash, everything was a lot harder.
the flash just helps so much, like i can go f8 with 1/800s or sometimes even 1/1000s and still got a really good exposure. if you have a macro lens, a ring flash would work more better i think.
after some practice. i just came up with some tricks to myself, maybe a lot people already knows.
i just get closer to the tank, and till the camera a little forward against the front glass, maybe like 75 or 80 degree angle with the front glass. basically its just shooting a little above the fish.
but if the lens and the flash are angled parallel with the front glass, and you are shooting straight to the fish, sometimes you will get bad reflections from the glass, which i think you dont want that...
