I like the B1 head better because its arcaswiss compatible. So you can get an L bracket from RRS, arcaswiss or where ever and still works with the ball head. I think the BH1 is only compatible with itself, although it does look alot like the manfrotto rc2 system.

Looks way different. Mine has a thumb screw to tighten the base to the head.

I think I am going to keep the 2690. It meets all my needs. My main concern was that the head was strong enough to hold the 70-200 without slip and slowly tilting the front of the lens down. I tested and it doesn't so its good to go. The 2691 is $80 more.

Its actually really sturdy. Mounted the 70-200 in portrait mode and no give or play at all. Looks like it will work for now. And the size is right for travel as well. Especially for a tripod at the $200 price point.

Also hang something a little heavy, like a bag with something in it on the hook of the center pole..it will make the tripod more stable..

2690 is 6kg, 2691 is 12kg..
Also its bh1 ballhead on the 2690, and b1 on the 2691..totally different head lol..might wanna return the 2690 and get the 2691..i think the price difference is not that much lol..i think the newest model from benro in this series is 2692..
