    Thanks! I've tried it before and had it fail. I'm surprised that it's done well in here with the goldfish and cory trying to dig it up every couple of days!!!

    I siphon out about 30-35% of the water twice a month during the summer. I also clean out all the gunk that builds up during the winter by scrubbing out the pond real good at the start of spring. There's no filter, but the plant's use up all the nutrients produced by the fish- I usually pull half a gallon of hornwort every week during the summer to give the fish enough room to swim.
