  • Getting My Feet Wet Again- What to keep?

Just brought home a 125 gallon. It's been a while since I had a large tank, after years of Nanos. I briefly had a tropheus grow out tank over 2 years ago, but shut it down, because my wife wouldn't give me the space for a bigger tank. For several years it's been wild bettas, pgymy sun fish, dwarf seahorses, and a dario species ( most everything under 2 inches). Before that it was Discus, Angelfish, Rainbowfish, Tropheus, and an attempt at Petros.

I'd like to avoid monster size fish, and want ease of care. I've ruled out Discus, Anglefish, Malawi cichlids.
Im leaning towards Rainbowfish vs Tropheus vs large mouth brooding Wild bettas (like macrostoma or unimaculata).
    Any suggestions out there?

I love Frontosa but they'll get too big. I use to keep WC in a 350 back in the 90s and still looked cramped.
