  • Water Change?

How long after the floods can I use tap water for my cichlids water change?

  • #2
That could be a thousand dollar $$$ question.

If you have carbon bottle, you would be okay. I have carbon "snake", and I'm still skeptical about water change at this time. It is still raining today. I would wait 1 or 2 days after the rain to do water change.

I've been using tap water for water change storm or no storm. I need to do water change daily for my young discus. I do let the water sit in a bucket for like 12-24 hours and add more seachem safe than normally dose

Let water sit in the bucket 12-24 hrs will get rid of Chlorine, and Safe will probably get rid of Chroramine with the heavy dose.

Still I wouldn't risk it with thousand dollars worth of fish. I love my Moba!

Just a side question: would Safe adversely affect human health with the water evaporation in the house?
