Great progress. What is your pH and water hardness?

My ph stays mid 6's per a ph monitor/controller. Co2 runs 24/7 so the controller is not used.

In 35 years of fish/plant/reef keeping I have never tested water parameters. Call it a blue thumb. But water smell and how inhabitants look and act is all I have gone by.

And dechlorinated tap water is all I have ever used. Never owned an R/O unit.

My tank might be an overkill. I use RO water for all water changes. My pH is about 6.0 and my water hardness ranges from 110 to 145. I fertilize heavily with gluraraldehyde supplementation.

ADG uses 50/50 RO and dechlorinated tap.

                Thank you for the comparison.

All my tanks are cichlids. Maybe it's time to venture into planted world.

It's not as hard as you might think. Water, light, plants, and that's it!!!!
                      Sit back and enjoy.

I have some anubias plants in some of my tanks, but it's just hard for me to dedicate a tank just for plants. LOL

Dwarf chicklets do well in planted tanks.
