Nice giraffe catfish...I've had a few of them over the years and miss having them...they are serious vacuums!

I can't wait till mine gets that big, I've had it for a good 5 1/2 years and it's gotten like 4 inches longer. It's in a 162 gallon. I wish I knew if it was m/f :(

I used to keep mine in with my juvenile Burundi and they would get over 12" in the first year alone...That was with a high protein diet and 2-3 high volume water changes a week though...

I do a water change like every 2 weeks, and I feed them dainichi. I have them with some malawis, so they don't get fed straight protein, I have to feed them a mixture. I kinda of want to put them in a larger Aquarium :)

I love dainichi but it is rediculously expensive...I feed mainly NLS now to my frontosa, Tropheus and others...Get you a 6 footer and you will be set...

Frontosa will thrive in their own tank. I do 50% water change once a week.

I agree...most people don't want to devote a whole tank to a colony though...I found my best frontosa tank mates are other frontosa of the same variant...
