  • Where do you keep your pH

The negative log of the concentration of hydrogen ions - or pH.

Running a CO2 system, I am unable to keep a neutral pH but it is not an objective for me. The fish in my aquarium all come from native habitats that consist of low pH and soft water.

My CO2 system has been set up now for a week and I am now at approximately 30 ppm of CO2. Prior to the addition of pH, I was at 7.0 to 7.1

Now that my CO2 has been optimized, my pH is:

    6.5

    How about you?

Your answers must be top secret...are you using a government or a home server?

Houston is an ideal place for most African cichlids because our tap water (minus the chlorine) is ideal for for these fish.

Yep, straight tap water with a buffering substrate is all we need to emulate the rift lakes
