    Welcome to the Box!
As for advise. I'm not sure where to start. So I will start with Cory cats. Cory's like to school. They like large groups and are not cold water fish. Can they live in cold water? they can live in cool water but not cold. The Oscar will out grow the 55g tank pretty soon and will need more space. He needs 200+ gal. to be a happy fish. Gold fish, koi, get very big too. So space is important to them too.
I am not telling you what to do. But you do need to think a little more long term.

      To determine the tank capacity:

In inches, multiply the length x width x height, then divide by 231 (there are 231 cubic inches in one gallon).

My tank is 72x18x24. Divide by 231 and you get 134.9 gallons (it is a 135-gallon tank).

Not sure where to advise exactly either from your post, but here it goes:

-The oscar will outgrow that tank. he has enough lateral movement for now but the width of the tank could become an issue. his spine can distort if he doesnt have enough room to turn easily
-barbs do get a little nippy in smaller groups. usually larger groups curb that tendency. in a 10g they may be just fighting. if one gets injured, an infection could have caused that parasite
-with goldfish i would beef up the filtration (mechanical and bio). they produce a lot of waste and can dirty a tank quickly.

          Welcome to the Box!

Filtration for 250-300 gallon: several options depend on what you prefer:
          -1 big wet-dry sum (maybe 40-55 gallon)
          -1 medium wet-dry sum and a big canister (FX5 or Eheim 2260)
          -3 big canisters (FX5 or Eheim 2260)

That would make the tank 183gal. Big tank, good for Gold fish if the chiller works.
