A scary looking Great Sculpin and a 5-foot 3-inch Pacific Halibut (135 pounds). Both caught in Alaska.

The above yelloweye has an extremely rare pigmentation. The Alaskan Fish & Game folks never seen a fish like this. However, the orbital spines allowed a correct identification as a yelloweye rockfish. Rockfish have YELLOW eyes but not this one.

The above fish is a mahi mahi, dorado or dolphin fish caught in the Texas Gulf of Mexico. They grow rapidly and have a life span of four years.

The BR. this big are not all that great to eat. they will be wormy.

Most of the photos were taken on my boat except the Alaskan fish (a friend's boat).

Mike I have a place close to the beach in Matagorda. We are on the water but in the bay. I have a little 16' flounder boat but you would be crazy to take it off shore. We have had our Jet ski 5 mil. out.
