  • 10 gal. Low tech planting Led help

Question....I'm trying to set up a 10 gal low tech planted tank that will serve as my quarantine tank. Could you please tell me or recommend any LED lighting systems from Petco or Pets mart that would he good for the plants ? I would eventually like to be able to remove some of the plants and set them up on a 75 gal I'm working on. Thanks

I gave this 10 gallons to my sister, but this was what a beamswork led looks like with the top. It's a lot brighter without the top. Plants are doing great so far.

Beamworks LED is great for the price. I have a 4ft long and love it.

I ended up getting a Fluval Eco Bright for the 10 gal and planted so me java fern, 2 amozon swords and I anubias so we'll see how well this works out since it's going to be a low tech tank. The light will be on a timer and I'm planning on doing some fertilizing some of these plants will make it to the 75 gal and it's more of a test bed for me and a quarantine tank for the species that end up in the 75 gal.

                  Thanks.
I'm also in need for an LED light for a 10G tank, so just want to see how yours looks like.

I did a DIY LEDs on my daughters 10g, worked fantastic for the first couple of weeks but LEDs started to go out or go dim. Never trust cheap led strips.

Here's some pics I took this morning, nothing big but it's a start. Driftwood leaching just a tad and today I'll be doing the fist 50% water change for a week and will add some root tabs and start some ferts.uploadfromtaptalk1443795204652.jpguploadfromtaptalk1443795224730.jpguploadfromtaptalk1443795241041.jpguploadfromtaptalk1443795264172.jpguploadfromtaptalk1443795298393.jpguploadfromtaptalk1443795331049.jpg

You do have a nice start. Some tips, java fern does best on drift wood. It does not like to have its roots in substrate. Anubias can go both ways. Your swords will out grow the tank fast.
