On 10/6 I added Tetra Safe Plus to see if I could jump the cycle to half it's time. Been doing 50% water changes everyday, last 50% water change will be done tomorrow Friday 9th. Also been dosing CO2 at a rate of 1ml every day. Plants are doing ok with some bit of yellowing closer to the roots of the Dwarf Sagittarius but nothing drastic, no mayor die off on the plants.

Did another water chem. check and the results were the same as in 10/5 . Wondering if I should wait it out or throw in some Danios to jump start this cycle. What do you guys think. Also do you think I'm going overboard with the water changes? Since the beginning I've had nothing but clear water.

Did your water ever get cloudy and then clear up?

At the beginning but that was about it. I have been changing 50% of the water every day since I started.

Sounds like your tank is already cycled. You don't show any nitrates cause of the plants and the water changes. Hold off on the daily water changes, weekly changes should suffice.

So based on the chem testing do you think it's safe for the Danios ?

You can slow down on the water change. Once a week would be suffice.

You can add fish slowly (maybe 1 pair).

Are you planning on stocking shrimp?

Don't know what effect they may have on the plants. I have to read up.

Shrimp are fine with plants. I personally have amano, red cherry, and ghost shrimp in my planted tank. Many people keep amano shrimp in a planted tank to help clean the plants of algae. Reason I asked is some snail eating fish will snack on shrimp, so whatever plan you have in mind for snail control research and think ahead. I suggested assassin snails cause they are shrimp safe from my experience. There are many options out there for snail control but those options may limit what you can stock later on.
