  • Just another new person on here

Soooo yeah. New here. For whatever reason I had a lot of trouble coming across fishkeeping groups based here in Houston, and then I magically found this site today. A few hours ago.
    And now I'm here
I have two tanks- a 10 gallon with 5 blackskirt tetras, and a 20 gallon with a black moor and an oranda goldfish (both are small, but I definitely plan on upgrading ASAP)

My dream fish right now is the Picasso Triggerfish, but I'm so attached to my oranda I think if I ever saved up enough money I'd endup with a giant tank filled with goldfish instead of anything relatively exotic. A bunch of fat, slow, cutesy goldfish.

I'm here hoping to learn much more about the hobby. I've been keeping fish since I was in middle-school (so what it's been like 8 years?), but I honestly didn't know what I was doing until these last two years. And even then, seeing as I have these goldfish in a 20 gallon I suppose it's safe to say I'm definitely nowhere near being an expert.

    So yeah.
And I have dogs. I love my dogs. I love talking about them too whenever the opportunity arises.

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you found the right spot for sure. The Greater Houston Aquarium Club and Texas Aquatics have monthly meetings all over the Houston Area every month and they are free and open to the public, come out and meet some fellow aquarists.
