On top of every thing else I noticed condensation on the inside of the heater in the guppy tank this morning! The tank temp was downfrom 82 to about 78. Worries me that this will cause the ich to come back with a vengence. Soooo, I'll be going to get a new heater after work. Seems like this tank was doomed from the beginning. It's the Hongi fry curse.

55 tank only for $55. They make their money in glass top, stand, heater, filter...

Theoretically, you could have a lot of guppies... But you would have to stop killing them first!

I figured a 100 or so. Don't know if I would do that. I was really enjoying my guppies until they started dropping like flies. I've had cichlids for so long I'd forgotten how enjoyable other fish can be. I want to say how enjoyable "a more gentle species" can be, but every time I think that I envision my little red finned psycho killer. LOL

Many ornamental strains we see in the hobby today originate in SE Asia. The breeders there figured out they do far better in brackish and step it up to full marine as they can pump in water. They do wonderful and are amazingly healthy. They transition to FW hard and ship, after about 2-3 weeks they start crashing and just fail. Many stores are just unaware of the practice and avoid buying guppies. Try some from local breeders using our tap, like Houston Aquatics. He breeds his on site and has some very nice proven lineages. Bet you have better success

Houston Aquatics is a great LFS. They are one of the oldest stores in town. In the same location. They do have some pretty guppies.
