I keep thinking that little rogue that lives on the left side of the tank by itself will try to set up house back there at some point.

      What about an AC110?

I'm afraid AC110 might be too much flow for a 30 gallon. I have an AC110 in a 90 gallon, and it seems to produce a lot of flow in there. It also good to have 2 filters on any tank just in case one goes out.

I used to have the Brichardi in a 55 gallon. I set up shells and rock on each end of the tank. There were always spawning activity on each end, but I believe all the fry came from the alpha male.

When we visited, my daughter gave him a hug before we left. I'm sure that buttered him up, so we're good for another month. Depending on how much you come home with after our next outing... fish, tanks, accessories......

I know at some point he's got to realize how dangerous we are together. LOL

Well I did basically talk you into getting another 20 gallon during the Petsmart sale. It didn't exactly take much talking though. Not sure if I'm the bad influence or if you are???

How bizzare! I read that sometimes young parents will eat their young. Maybe that's what happened. The fish drama never seems to end.

Woah!! Just looked across the room and there is the peacock mating in the parrots house! Got his woman cornered in there doing the shimmy shake dance!

I have several spawns of Brichardi. Most from the same parents. They are very fascinating to watch. The first and second spawn help watch over the new fry. Even chasing away the Frontosa 10 time their size. Only a handful of each spawn made it to a larger size. I never thought it might be because of the parents. I will keep a closer eye on them.

I had about 3 other spawns since this last post and within a week all the new babies vanished. I had a mystery snail that died and even though I was doing water changes I felt the tank was still polluted and that was killing the new fry. They had another batch last weekend and so far they're still in there. I'll let ya'll know if this bunch vanishes too.
