  • Guppy Vanished

I had a gorgeous cobra male that seems to have vanished from this earth. If he died during the night could my 2 african dwarf frogs have eaten him??? I swear it's driving me crazy. I've been looking for that fish for 3 days. seems like I would've seen something of his remains.

it depends on the size of the guppy but they may. dwarf frogs are known to eat fish smaller than they are, but are kind of scavengers eating sinking pellets, flakes, frozen foods, etc.

what else is in the tank other than them? anything can scavenge off it if the fish did die. in one of my tanks if a fish dies i dont know for a while. the pleco, snails and/or other fish clean it all up before i even notice.

Sorry to hear. Guppies don't usually hide for anything. Very likely that he is gone.

heck my plecos get started before the fish is even gone....if one is listless and on its way out they have the mindset of "eh you wont need this part of your body soon enough i will get started now"

LOL. They don't get called "cleaning crew" for nothing.
