Well the 33g fell through, so went down and got a 55g at the $per gallon sale.

Any thoughts on mixing theses two together, they both can be real hard on other fish
          Neolamprologus pulcher
          Telmatochromis sp. "Temporalis Shell"

If the pulcher was as aggressive as the Brichrdi (which i think they are), they will kill the Telmatochromis. Might not be a good mix IMO.

Got the rock and black diamond today, rocks in, filter and plumbing is done. Will start rinsing the BD tomorrow morning.

Still haven't locked down whether to have the Multi's or Gold O's
I have narrowed down the choices to
              Multi's or Gold O's

              N. Caudopunctatus
              Brevis,
From talking and reading the Brevis seems to be more likely to succeed as a second Shellie in the 55g

What mix of the three listed would more likely to succeed?

I think N Caudopunctatus and Brevis should be your best option, since the multis are more aggressive than the brevis, I've even put some fry leleupis with those brevis and they are not chasing them at all. they just stay on their own shell.

I had apart of Brichardi pair off in my 55 gallon once. They immediately killed my Lamp. speciosis by eating its tail while in its shell. If there is any chance of brichardis breeding, take out all other occupants. I learned the hard way.

I have given up on the Brichardi, but I have a 180g that I would love to figure out a way to have them and an agressive shell dweller with them.

I am trying to maximize a stocking list
I would like 3 of them, most people tell me it is 2 at the most in a 55g

                          Dave's has Brivis &
L.ocellatus 'gold I have read it can and wont work as a pairing

                          L.ocellatus 'gold
                          N.multifasciatus

                          N.brevis
                          N.caudopunctatus
