Just want to share my latest addition to my addiction. I recently purchased a SRD Flower Horn at about 3". He has grown to 4.5" in just 4 weeks. This is my first time keeping Flower Horn. I like to use this thread to keep track of his growth and development. He currently resides in a 40B by himself.

Unlike some of my other fish group that are a little skittish, this little guy is not very shy about asking for food. He would come to greet me at the front glass like a puppy every times I'm around. I think he got a great personality. He has grown more red on the body since moved into my tank. You can tell that I'm already growing on this guy! LOL.010G Long fin BN grow-out

I moved him to a new home yesterday and had a chance to measure him. He is at 5.5" now. Looks like he can grow 1" per month.

The tank that I keep him in was used for my Hongi breeding. When I moved the Hongi out, there was 1 tiny little fry left that I was too lazy to fish out. Well, with some rockwork in the tank, he somehow survives the SRD and now they become friend. The SRD leaves him alone, and they even hang out together sometimes. Kind of odd right?
Last night I notice the SRD looked a little strange with a little shorter caudal fin. It was trimmed "nice and neat". Then I saw the little ******* now 1.25" Hongi working diligently nipping on the SRD fin while he sleeps.
