Just want to share my joy! Got my F1 colony from Chris about 2 years ago. My guess is 2M8F with one color up the pretty much all the time unless he freaks out. They seem to max out at 2.5". The sub-dominant male sometimes flares up pretty nicely. It's strange that my biggest female is larger than the alpha male.

Recently, they decided to breed like no tomorrow. Lost my first batch because after stripping her and put in the breeder box, I came home next day to find all fry got sucked out for dinner. I since use breeder net and put in another tank to take no risk.

I currently have 18 at 1". 30 at 3/4". About 25 at 1/2" freshly strip tonight. One momma is currently holding. Soon I will run out of tank space. Got over 150 fry from them so far. :emt_thumbs:

I'm thinking to put the fry up for sale. Not sure what would be the fair asking?

I think $4-5 per at 1" would be fair

Well as high as they normally sell for, I would say $7-8.

Wow really Josiah? Even at 1" I've have always bought mine for around $4 from individual breeders.

But hey, if you get that much then definetly do it. Demand determines price.

I'd have to agree with Josiah since they're second generation . You can always post high and lower price as necessary, but not the other way around

Not yet. Have 1m and 2f in a 135 but females are still young. Also have 5 more at almost 2" growing out. Soon as I set my 40 breeder racks up they will have their own tank.

Male is 3" I would say. Maybe a bit more.
