What cause this leak on Eheim 2262?

My new "dig" got a leak.
I'm thinking it's the bad O-ring. What do you think?

Make sure you don't have that elbow pushed to far down into the lid. If that elbow is pushed down to far it will cause the front cover to pull away. This will in turn cause it to leak. There actually may be nothing wrong with the o ring. Just from the look of the picture, it looks as if the the pump itself is to far forward and needs to be moved back. The elbow looks to be pushed to far into the opening in the top of the canister. This was the same issue I had on mine. Fyi city pets sells a set of the o rings if that truly is what it is for $5.

Also try applying a thin coat of Vaseline to the seal. This will help in sealing.

Barrett, you might be right about pushing the elbow too far down. I will try to make the adjustment to see if it works.
