What cause this leak on Eheim 2262?

Honestly once you set the pump. Pull up and back gently. While doing that, then screw down that plastic nut. Here's the best way to know if your seal it good. Apply a small amount of Vaseline to the seal and install it on the lock cover. If you feel a slight resistance when installing it on the actual pump it's good. If not it might still be good. Orings will shrink over time. Vaseline will help to renew them.
